About Us
This purpose of this article is to tell our customers a little bit about the owners of the Toy Building Bricks online store. We are a father and son business team and this is another of our ventures into the Internet retail sales business. Since we had both, as children, loved our Lego toy building sets it was not a hard decision as to what we would sell in our store!
We are originally from a little oil field and farm and ranch town about 55 miles east of Amarillo, Texas.. That particular geographical area in the panhandle is well known for oil and natural gas production and petrochemical industries. The Texas Panhandle is, of course, still one of the leading farm and ranch areas in the U.S. A new industry is on the ground floor in the area and that is wind powered turbine electricity generators. There is certainly no shortage of wind, as a renewable energy source, in the Texas Panhandle. Our hometown is soon to become the wind turbine capital of the world!
I (the senior in our partnership) was born in Texas and junior was born in the Phillippines so he had a dual citizenship untill his 18th birthday! His mother and I lived in naval housing at the Subic Bay Naval Station for two years and he was born in the naval hospital there. We left the Phillippines for Texas when he was 2 months old and settled into our first Texas Panhandle family home. I joined my dad in the wholesale oil and fuel business, starting a family tradition.
I have been in the supper club and cocktail lounge business, as well as, a liquor inventory management and bar supply and equipment business for the last 25 years. I was in this line of work untill I sold my Texas businesses in 2002 and moved to the mountains of Arizona. My son has been in Arizona since 1999 and has been a retail store manager and a rental property maintance person. He has also gone to our local community college, getting his Windows certification.
Starting an Internet business is a way for us to continue the family tradition of being a father and son business team!
