Lego Indiana Jones and His Risky Adventures
Of all the many Lego products available, one of the all time favorites is the Lego Indiana Jones themed toy building sets. Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr., otherwise known as Indiana Jones, adventurer and college professor of archeology, was created in the 1981 George Lucas film “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. The movie is set in the 1930’s with Indiana Jones on a quest to save the Lost Ark artifact. Lego became associated with the Indiana Jones franchise and the rest is history. Lego’s Indiana Jones continues his adventures today with sets based on the latest Lucas movie, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", released in 2008.
There are two different series to build your Lego Indiana Jones sets collection from.
Indiana Jones Classic. This series include Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase, Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb, Race for the Stolen Treasure, and Temple Escape. There are two new sets in the Classic series as well; Shanghai Chase and Fight on the Flying Wing.
Kingdom Of the Crystal Skull. This series is comprised of the following six individual sets starting with the smallest sets to the largest; Jungle Duel with 90 pieces, River Chase, Jungle Cutter, Peril in Peru, and the largest being Temple of the Crystal Skull at 929 pieces. The Jungle Duel set is stated by Lego as being “sold out” and Peril in Peru as “hard to find”.
